Moonves tapped for PGA Milestone Award

MoonvesThe Producers Guild of America has tapped CBS Corp. topper Leslie Moonves as the recipient of its Milestone Award. The award was announced Tuesday. It will be presented to Moonves at the 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards ceremony Jan. 21 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The PGA noted the honor recognizes historic contributions to the entertainment industry. Previous recipients include Clint Eastwood, Alfred Hitchcock, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, Walt Disney and James Cameron. ''Les Moonves is a true visionary, with the rare combination of exemplary managerial skills, singular creative instincts and forward thinking leadership of CBS and our industry,'' said Producers Guild Awards co-chairs Paula Wagner and Michael Manheim. ''Les has continued to advance the entertainment landscape with his ability to stay at the forefront of new media ventures, identify strategic acquisitions, recognize unique programming such as 'Survivor' and 'CSI,' and successfully guide his continuously growing team to achieve extraordinary results.'' Moonves is President and CEO of CBS Corp., overseeing all operations of the company, including the CBS Television Network, Showtime, CBS Radio, Simon and Schuster and CBS Interactive, among others.
